Telhîs is the conclusion of the third part of Yûsuf es-Sekkâkî's work named Miftâhu'l-Ulûm, which is about eloquence, made by Imam Celaleddin Kazvînî Habîb-i Dımışkî. Telhîs, one of the most important works written on the science of rhetoric, consists of a muqaddime, three chapters and a chastity. It is one of the most popular books written on the science of eloquence, which reveals the fineness and mystery of Arabic. Sa'düddin Teftazânî first wrote Mutavvel on Telhîs. Then he shortened it by the name Muhtasaru'l-Maânî.
