Carpet Care Guide

• In order to prevent the dust formed on the carpet from entering between the yarn (fluff) over time, it should be vacuumed at regular intervals.

• It should be vacuumed gently with a vacuum cleaner towards the lying direction of the threads (fluff).

• Never beat your carpets with a hard object and do not leave them in sunlight for a long time.

• Immediately clean the liquid spilled on the carpet with a paper towel.

• During cleaning, never rub the stain by pressing it.

• This will cause the stain to penetrate further into the carpet.

• Avoid using excessive water and shampoo during carpet cleaning.

• No loop should be pulled from the carpet, the loops that have come off should be cut from the carpet surface.

What is Polypropylene (Olefin) Carpet?

Polypropylene (Olefin) Carpet There has been a great increase in the use of polypropylene carpet fibers since 1980. Unlike other fiber types, polyproline does not absorb water and therefore needs to be solution dyed (pigmented) to give color. Solution dyeing is a pigmentation process in which the color is actually introduced into the fiber while the fiber is being formed, and thus it cannot be removed from the fiber. The color will not fade even when exposed to intense sunlight, bleaching agents, atmospheric pollutants or other harsh chemicals or elements.

Olefin carpets; It is resistant to moisture and mold, it is easy to clean and maintain. However, because it is not as flexible as other fibers, polypropylene is often used in loop pile structures where superior resilience is less required. Controlling the commercial market by a large share, polypropylene fiber is the cheapest of man-made fibers. Since it is very strong, it is both indoor and outdoor fiber and is widely used as artificial turf.
